Mercer County, New Jersey is perfectly sandwiched between New York and Philadelphia, with just about a one-hour drive to each city. You will find open space and farmland along with city and suburban neighborhoods throughout the county. The county seat of Mercer is Trenton, the city that also serves at the state capital of New Jersey.

The area has a historical impact that goes back to some of the pivotal battles of the American Revolutionary War. The success of these battles built morale among the pro-independence colonists.

Mercer offers several New Jersey Transit stations, including Trenton, Hamilton, and Princeton Junction on the Northeast Corridor Line, and Princeton on the Princeton Branch. SEPTA provides rail service to Center City Philadelphia from Trenton and West Trenton. Long-distance transportation is provided by Amtrak train service along the Northeast Corridor through the Trenton Transit Center.

NJ Transit's River Line connects Trenton to Camden. Mercer County's only commercial airport, the Trenton-Mercer Airport in Ewing, is served by Frontier Airlines, offering nonstop service to and from points nationwide.

Mercer County is comprised of a highly skilled and educated workforce and is home to Princeton University, Rider University, The College of New Jersey, Thomas Edison State University and Mercer County Community College. The public school system includes nine school districts, boasting a Special Services School District and Vocational/Technical Schools, plus an award-winning library system with nine branch locations.
